Guys, we need your help in assisting in the WW1 ACES LIST creation. This list will be used in new Career game mode.
This list includes total victory counts to dates (with 5 days step) for aces. Problem is that we have limited time resources and your help in this list finalization and re-check will be very usefull.
For now we have victory counting from Janoary 1917 to end of war for 50-top-aces of the end of war. But you understand, that 50-top-aces list is DIFFERENT for previous periods.
So your help need in:
  • Compiling 50-top-aces lists for July 1918, January 1918, July 1917, January 1917, September 1916

  • Compiling SUMMARY LIST from these 6 up-to-date-50-top-aces lists (including existing November 1918)

  • Add all pilots from summary list to aces_source_sent1916-nov1918.xls table

  • Fill the aces_source_sent1916-nov1918.xls table for all pilots (including 1916 days for existing pilots - we have no data for now).

GUI will automaticaly create the top-30 aces list to date in newspaper using this finalized table.

To separate the common aces_source_sent1916-nov1918.xls table development between all of you - you should to take your ace to work and post the result as the attached example:
Udet-ace.xls
so we will add your separate-ace lines to the common aces_source_sent1916-nov1918.xls table right after you will post your separate-ace-table, and we will keep in this post the common table updated to your results.

Han, I am not sure if I have the reference material for this. But hasnt Patrick already done this for his campaign generator? Perhaps he would release the information from it?

If not the aerodrome has all the aces listed (pretty much) and the dates of their kills. Should be fairly easy to do it from there.

I'm not sure I understand the request. To be clear, the request is for something like a month by month leaderboard for the Aces of WW1, like PW's campaign generator?

RIGHT! :-)
I'm sorry, I've forgot to remove temporary sheets. Now I've done it and re-uploaded it to first post. And I've included your addition for Nungesser victory counts in 1916. Thank you!
Yes, we should continue in this way, like you have attached, BUT only one sheet required - look for re-uploaded examples in 1st post.

Han - I'm looking at the excel sheet but my Russian isn't up to the job of quickly identifying the right date for the details to input.

Can we have an English language version to work on? I'll happily get going then.

Also can everyone comment if they've chosen an ace to do so that we can avoid any duplication?

I made the French Aces. I added Michel Coiffard, it is gift, ex-aequo with Barraca, 34 victories.
And corrected a small error on Madon

I've redownloaded summary table and udet example - now there is all in English. Thanks for note.

Remember guys, ouir primary objective is to:
  • Compiling 50-top-aces lists for July 1918, January 1918, July 1917, January 1917, September 1916 (November 1918 is exists allready)

Only after that we should go to aces up-to-dates victory counting. THis will allow to avoid aces who are not in top-50 for any date from the required period.

Yes, but this necessity is determined by this rule:
Ace should enters to one of these to-date-50-top-aces lists:
November 1918, July 1918, January 1918, July 1917, January 1917

I am working on:
Thompson (Attached) - Han is this what you wanted?

It's ok. But Thompson have some problems - i see empty cells in 1916 - there should be Nulls?
Also, be attentive to rule which I've pointed (they should enters one of to-date-50-top-aces lists)

Added the 1916 kills for Udet, Boelcke, Jacobs and Voss
Added Degelow (30 kills) as a bonus

Lufbery and Rickenbacker:

EDIT: Han, sorry, I don't have any to-date lists, so I really don't know. :( However, there are some famous aces with not many kills who should be implemented nonetheless IMO.

Implemented, thank you!
May be we need to make "sticked" aces (like Rickenbacker - actualy he was not in to-50…)… May be we will do it.

That's actually a good idea! Lufbery didn't have many kills, but he was a legend among American pilots. I'll try to create some more files for personalities like him, then you can decide whether you want to implement them ;)

No, for now is important to focus on aces who enters up-to-dates-top-50-lists
