Some extra (AI) two-seaters have to be released together with this though. I can't see how you can fly a German career in 1916/1917 and not see any enemy two-seater during any of the missions! Luckily the DFW had a long service record so it can be used over a long time period.

People developing ever better products in order to keep making money is a concept some people fail to grasp. I for one happily spend my money to buy products I enjoy, and would gladly keep paying to keep them in development.

Just a suggestion.

I have already spent my money on the product and also on all (but one) additional planes.
Maybe not as happily as you, but I did. Question is if a customer should suggest he wants to pay more.
Such an initiative should come from the seller, not from the buyer..

looks like a LOT of work!
what forces me to repeat myself:
use the chance with such a significant new feature for the game and use this work in connection to release some AI "bread&butter" twoseaters (flyable one can still be sold seperatly) and make it a "to pay for" adon !
offline players will buy it because of the career mode, online players anyway as one have to have "always" the newest gameversion to be compatible…………..
schedule it for the X-mas time
as always only a personal opinion !
Thats fine for an expansion or a different genre or even theatre but this addition is to fill out the existing game to where it should have been at launch but couldnt be. Now if they release "ROF:the eastern front" or "ROF:Between the great wars" those in my opinion would be a pay addon.

This career mode looks fantastic but it shouldn't be payware. I have all the aircraft, I've paid enough to Neoqb/777. I don't want to make too much of this, I'm happy with my purchases , but these are still features that should have been included on release.
We need at least a couple of early AI 2 seaters per side to be released with this career mode or I don't see how its going to work. I don't think anyone wants to be escorting Breguet 14s in 1916.

Thank you Jason for an update. Waiting for relise. Just one question. I noted that on 1916 the the Centlal powers will fly on Fokker VII against DH2. Are you going to fix this?
Castro,
Please read my accompanying text above the pictures.

Wow, look like this is going to be very good indeed!

Guys,
Even the cost and time it takes to develop even and AI model is large. Sensenman and Wolfpac are finding this out now as they try to bring their creations to ROF. And we have high standards in our models. They are very complex and take time, not to mention money.
The days of flight sims with 100+ flyable planes is over. And before anyone says Oleg will have 30+ flyable planes or whatever it is has to realize he had 7+ years to make them and the budget of two companies to pay for it. We don't have that luxury or budget yet.
But JUST to be clear, we will try to build you more two-seaters. We are working on a plan to accelerate that process, BUT nothing has been decided and when I know more I will post.
There will be holes in the plane-set that we will fill over time. Or would you rather we wait a few more months until we have those two-seaters built before we release the new Career? Hmmmmmm…. Vander my friend I give you the choice. Choose wisely as you will be answerable to the community.
So, please understand we totally hear you guys about the two-seaters. Nobody wants two-seaters more than I, but right now, the code to even properly support flyable two-seaters is still in development so relax, have a brew and watch some football. Go Chargers!
Vander give me your decision please. The team is waiting.

Oh, it's up to me now? :0 Cool, I'll let the community members know where to send their bribes!

Seriously, I understand fully the catch 22 situation here: It's not an option to postpone the career option (actually, I asked for this myself

I'd go for the road to get the career option in first, than develop flyable two-seaters that can make some money as well… I just like to bring up my personal frustration that's all!

It's good you made it clear now.
Once again, very good news from you. As an off-liner for now I am very pleased with the samples you've shown us.
Well done!

In the „old good times” style, with attention to details, like the blackboard writing, newspaper(!) with some form-era advertisements, personal plane, maps, really nice!
Just the thing that the game was lacking from beginning!
And this excitement comes from a guy that will probably seldom play the campaign as I don’t like the idea of harming anyone in an organized manner (meaning: war), especially there above!
Really nice work! Congratulation!

Ryan Matthews does look like a good replacement for LT - but I can't see the Chargers getting past the Colts in the playoffs especially without Jackson.

Actually nobody said it was supposed to be payware, certainly not 777.. some bloke just suggested it be payware to make more money and fuel further development; while you replied that you didn't understand that principal and preferred that a product was complete upon arrival and then dropped from future development unless it is done freely. *shrugs

The days of flight sims with 100+ flyable planes is over.
Sadly, that is true. Il-2 seems to have been the golden days of 100+ planes in a simulator. Il-2 was the first to do it, and the last.

I'll take the 18 brilliant flyables I have now in RoF against the 30 brilliant flyables nobody has from Oleg any day

Cheers,

I totally agree. I enjoy both type of sims. It is like only being able to eat either a hamburger or a hotdog.

Life's pretty good in sim land imo.
If just a few years ago someone has said that in 2010 we'd have a new WW1 sim under development (ROF), new modern tech sim series under development (ED, DCS series) and a new WW2 sim coming up to release (Maddox) I'd have been very happy. Apparenly MS also has the FS series back under development. Pretty good for a dead genre
