We will have Recon, bombing, baloon busting, interception, capping, night missions, Trains, spies, Factory attacks.

Bloody April

The mission planner from each side must E-Mail Stenka with position of baloons (must be near front line) and how many of what type of planes he wants on which airbase by 23:59 Saturday or send mission extract files.

Note planes will be planned with 100% Fuel but it is not reliable you may get 0% fuel and an early bath. Loadouts are not locked.

It is the responsability of each and every pilot to check their loadouts before hitting fly. Yes that means fuel bombs and ammo.

Skins will be enabled on serverunless we run in to performance problems. We have reached up to 38 players. With extended lineup times and disconnects, anything we can do to reduce client memory problems and launch network traffic reduces problems.

Central players log into the Hun TS Channel, Entente the Gits channel. Maintain silence once game is launched. Squad Admin officers setup whisper to enemy channel so we can discuss launch & tech problems.

Once mission is launched there are no voice communications, no chat/text
communications and no image communications.

Punctuality

Dog server available 20:30 CET to test your plane/connection/settings Lineup 21:00 CET where each side give verbal briefing on TS Launch 21:30 CET

We apply a no restart policy.

We don't restart cos Jonny bent his prop - don't bother to ask.

Teamspeak off - Hand signals and flares during mission

Each invested airodrome is equipped with windsock, 2 x Machine gun flak and 2 x heavy

Policy is planes must land on right side of lines by 90 minutes or be lost.

If you are shot down or killed you must stay connected until plane hits ground. Disconnects without landing after 60 minutes mean the plane is lost. Other disconnects may be investigated by admin.

Only admin are allowed to record during mission. It can cause lag.
Only admin are allowed to open mission files in editor or refly missions for test purposes. Remember real recon is of major importance and the campaign becomes meaningless if you peek at the map in an editor. Both sides have copies of a pracice dogfight on the real map without recon objects so if you want a copy to practice on just ask.

Scoring

On the active airfields I will place one quad in each of 7 hangers. If this is destroyed we can count the bombing damage.

On the factories I will place one special ground object in each of 2 buildings

Server settings:

Externals off, all difficult stuff switched on

Downed, landed or killed pilots can join bombers as gunners.

Points lost for losing/unserviceable

Factory...................250 + surrounded with 2 x Heavy 2 x McGun FLAK! Position 40 km behind the frontline.

Note very carefully that ROF declares planes unservicable for relatively superficial damage and if you screw your engine by overheating or overcooling it is out of the battle for at least 2 days while it's stripped and rebuilt.

Use throttle, radiator and mixture with care. Long descents need closed radiator.

Yes you get no extra points for destroying HQ on finding it and it will move away.

The optimum way of treating a HQ is to photo recon then return to attack it next mission. That way you can get 1800 points - but it may be defended.

The objective of the rules and points system is to provide competitive varied gameplay for as many competitors as possible. They may be adjusted during the campaign by the admin comittee who treat all complaints.

Rules must be simple and the same for both sides.

The admin comittee is made up of the administrator for 69.GIAP+ the administrator LvA

Administrators have confidential access to the mission file, can not participate in definition of plans/tactics or strategy, can not submit recon photos, but can fly under the leadership of others.

Tonight's the night 21:00 CET Blood starts spilling.

Now remember, this campaign is about as difficult as it gets with a mansize map, multiple objectives, fighter cap, escort, recon, bombing, ground attack. You even get to rescue pilots and pick up spies. Both day and night missions with voice comms turned off.

The infrastructure will handle 40 + human pilots

LM squad and the mercenary Zulus are adding a flight each to the Central powers forces.

Sorry to everyone for the aborted start mission

We have traced the problem.

The technical symptom was the "bones buffer" being saturated.

Effectively with the number of players signed up + AI planes plus reserve planes we had more than 60 planes in the co-op mission.

I'm not sure that this is a hard limit for all missions but after testing on the Bloody April Map with the number of ground objects there is a limit of 28 flyable positions per side - that's 56 in total.

Now a fighter has 1 flyable position, a 2 seater 2 flyable positions and a heavy bomber 4 flyable positions.

Now you will all get your seats.

Each side has 6 AI seats. These can be converted to Human seats before the mission, or a late arrival can select an AI plane and fly it.

The corrected mission will be ready to fly Monday 13 th February 21:00 CET. We look forward to flying with you
