We are pleased to present our newest aircraft model for ROF - the famous Gotha G.V! This outstanding aircraft is a welcome addition to ROF, especially for multiplayer servers. The Central Powers really need a ground pounder! The Gotha is a very interesting aircraft to study in detail. This beautiful aircraft includes some interesting features such as: pusher propellers, variable bomb-loads, good maneuverability and a service ceiling of 4000 meters so you can fly confidently above the target area. It has a crew of three; a pilot and two more as gunners. The bombsight is located in the cockpit of the front gunner and has an optical zoom, but no wind adjustments. The rear gunner can fire both in the upper hemisphere and the bottom, through the tunnel. Bombers of this type were the founders of modern bomber aviation, which proved to be so crucial in later wars. They created the first principles of choosing targets behind enemy lines and the doctrine of Strategic Bombing was born.
