2010 ROF Video Trailer Contest Winners

Dear Pilots,

It is now time to officially congratulate the 3 winners of our first ever Video Trailer Contest!

There were 32 entries which came from the whole world! We appreciate all who took the time to film and create a video trailer for ROF. We know it can be a time consuming activity and we appreciate all your efforts. In a change to our original rules of the contest posted on our Blog, ALL entrants will receive a free aircraft for entering. The videos were watched and ranked by the development team over the past week.

The top three videos have been posted to our YouTube channel found here. We will be adding other top 10 videos to our YouTube channel in the days ahead. We plan on posting a new video each day. Please take the time to view these videos as the creators spent a lot of time and effort creating them.

Without further delay, here are your winners.

1st Place – Nick Gillin (USA) ($1000 and Free Add-On Aircraft for Life)

2nd Place – Pieter “Vanderstock” Hofstra (Netherlands) ($250 and Free Add-On Aircraft for Life)

3rd Place – Isay (Russia) ($250 andFree Add-On Aircraft till the end of 2010)

CONGRATULATIONS Nick, Pieter and Isay! You’re hard work has paid off and we appreciate your creativity and helping to showcase Rise of Flight.

Again, there were many videos that looked and sounded great. It was not an easy decision to pick the winners. To those that didn’t win also say thank you! We will be in touch to find out what free aircraft you would like to have.

Personally, I think the winning entry should not have a particular slant to any one nation. Many nations participated in the Air War and this is reflected in the game. It’s has too much of an “Uncle Sam” bias for my tastes.

However having said that, all three films are well made and show the game in good light.
