Who will be the next Red Baron?

Hello Dear Friends!

Today I would like to tell you about new element of our game: we have launched Leaderboards.

Every time you play 'Rise of flight' and finish your mission, your statistics is being sent to us. That's why, when playing in any mission, you are participating in the 'big game'. Leaderbords and system of statistics is a good parallel to the rating of the great aces of WWI, whose names will never be forgotten. We offer you to try to put your name into the heroes list. You do not need to do something special, just fly and win.

For you convenience, we have provided several ways to display the rating:

Overall rating
Displaying the top 1000 players in Career and Multiplayer modes.

League rating
Displaying the top 100 players in Career and Multiplayer modes, sorted by league. Each league represents a section of the world. There are South Pacific League, Asia League, Eastern European League, Western European League, North American League, Northern European League, South American League and Southern European League.

Aircraft type rating
Displaying the top 100 players in Career and Multiplayer modes sorted by aircraft type.

Career mode, Singleplayer mode and Multiplayer mode ratings display the top 100 players in these game modes.

All ratings are updated twice daily.

Now a few words about how you score your points. You can gain your points for various events: a victory in air combat, take-offs and landings, wounding, mission accomplishing, destroying of secondary target and for many other things. Scoring is dependent upon the complexity settings in use for each mission. Using less than full-real mode decreases the number of points awarded. This way we can compare pilots with different skills.

Leaderboards are currently in testing mode, we keep on working on it. I hope, it will be a motherlode for various competitions, and we will learn the leaders' names by heart for sure. If you will find your name with a crown in our rating list, try to hold it, if you are not yet there — you have to work a lot to correct this situation.

Great addition. Only two things that are problematic in my opinion, apart from the sniper AI:
1/ Joystick sensitivty issues still need addressing (start shooting and the nose of the aircraft dances all over the cook shop)
2/ Those of us without TrackIR and/or rudder pedals are immediatly at a disadvantage
Therefore right off the bat equalty does not exist with pilots.

So instead of a "real" career mode you put a leader board for us to compete even when we arent competing. Nice delaying action, I sure hope a real creer mode is in the works because this idea is abismal.

Try flying another plane but the fokker. Other planes dont jump around that much. According to your disandvantage. use coolie hat to look around or build yourself a freetrack or buy a trackir. You wont have any disadvantages anymore...!

Then buy a tracker IR... I have flown with and without, in the end it's down to skill. Tracker IR is a nice addition to anyones flight setup, But it does not make the pilot hat switch is just as good.

If you can't afford one get a freetracker setup ($20 for a cheap web cam $5 in leds and your ready to go)

Fix the BUGS first please, and THEN the extras! My sim still crasches every now and then, and the keyboard and joystick buttons looses all connection with the game frequently.

A bad machanic blames his tools , and thats what i read in your comments .

I Use the mouse to look around ingame, no hatswitch , no TIR ,no freetracker

just a plain standard MOUSE and im doing just FINE in the rating OverALL 3rd place at present 03,11,09

learn your combat style and improve it every flight.

Ratings and a ladder system is good idea and good luck NEOqb
